Privacy Policy
NoWasteMart (“we”, “us”) operates the NoWasteMart customer mobile app and website (together, the “Service”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account details — such as name, email address, phone number, and password when you register or sign in.
- Orders and delivery — items you order, pickup or delivery preference, delivery address, and order history.
- Location — with your permission, approximate or precise location to find nearby stores and confirm delivery address.
- Camera — with your permission, only while you scan barcodes; we do not store camera frames for advertising.
- Device and notifications — device identifiers and push notification tokens so we can send order status alerts when you allow notifications.
- Payments — payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers. Stripe may receive payment and fraud-prevention data under its own privacy policy.
- Support — messages you send to us (for example via support@nowastemart.com).
How we use information
- Provide and improve the Service (browse deals, cart, checkout, order tracking).
- Process payments and fulfill pickup or delivery orders with participating stores.
- Send transactional notifications (order accepted, preparing, out for delivery, delivered).
- Respond to support requests and protect against fraud or abuse.
- Comply with legal obligations.
Sharing
We share information only as needed to run the Service, including:
- Participating stores — order contents and contact details needed to fulfill your order.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers that process data on our behalf.
- Authorities when required by law.
We do not sell your personal information.
Retention
We keep account and order records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution purposes. You may request deletion of your account (see below).
Your choices
- Location, camera, notifications — you can deny or revoke these permissions in your device settings. Some features may not work without them.
- Account deletion — you can delete your account from within the NoWasteMart customer app (required for App Store compliance). After deletion, we remove or anonymize personal data that is no longer needed, except where we must retain records by law.
- Access and correction — contact support@nowastemart.com to request access or updates to your information.
Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
International users
If you use the Service from outside the country where our servers are located, your information may be processed in Australia or other locations where our providers operate.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the “Last updated” date.
